Abstract :
40 Gbit/s. 231 all-optical data regeneration and 40-10 Gbit/s demultiplexing is demonstrated using a nonlinear interferometer incorporating an optimised optical amplifier. Error-free operation is achieved without simultaneous wavelength conversion. Such a device shows great potential for use as a high-speed (⩾40 Gbit/s) all-optical 3R regenerator
