Abstract
The question of how to address the connectivity of the pore space (that is, its network structure) appears daunting. The difficulty arises largely from the complexity of real porous materials and the limited understanding of the physics associated with these complicated systems. Given this situation and the increasing importance of porous materials, we have undertaken a comprehensive study of adsorption-desorption processes in a broad range of porous materials that combines isotherm measurements with computer modeling. As part of this study, we have developed a modeling program that lets us design various porous media of interest and simulate adsorption-desorption processes
