Abstract
A brief survey of various systems for stereophonic broadcasting which have been proposed in recent years is presented. The pilot-tone (Zenith-G.E.) system, which has been adopted for stereophonic broadcasting on v.h.f. in the U.S.A., is considered in more detail. The design of receivers for this system is discussed, with particular reference to the requirements for minimizing susceptibility to interference, and a decoder which meets these requirements is described
