The prediction of performance of tetrode and pentode harmonic generators

The paper describes a new method for predicting the performance of harmonic generators which use tetrodes or pentodes. The inaccuracy of the method is of the order of ± 3% whereas the errors in previous methods can be of the order of ±20%. The present method has, basically, an analytical approach making use of the anode voltage current characteristics. Tables from which design graphs can be plotted are given in the paper and with the aid of these tables the performance of harmonic generators can quickly be predicted.
