Montsinger (General Electric Company, Pittsfield, Mass.): The paper, “The Design and Operating Characteristics of Modern Dry-Type Air-Cooled Transformers,” is interesting and timely, and should be of value to the industry in that it gives some service tests and operating experience on the use of a high-temperature insulation in dry-type transformers having temperatures above 130 degrees centigrade.
