Abstract
Aircraft cabin networks support various functionalities, from entertainment to safety-critical functions such as passenger announcements or light control. For cost, efficiency, energy-reduction and weight architectures for cabin networks should be optimized with respect to required resources and cable in the cabin. This motivates multi-domain architectures. The approach presented in this paper uses hardware-based security to realize a secure efficient multi-domain architecture for cabin networks.
