  • Abstract
    Widespread flooding and deadlocked international negotiations in The Hague highlight the continuing threat of global climate change. The author examines the role of new energy technologies in efforts to curb greenhouse gas emissions from a UK perspective. Combined cycle gas turbines are discussed as are prospects for a revival of nuclear power. The use of renewable resources is also considered
