  • Abstract
Medical adherence deals with whether patients take the prescribed drugs accordingly. When patients do not adhere, it may have adverse results and also increase the cost of health care. Inter active voice (IVR) response is currently being used in telecommunication networks both fixed and mobile. In these networks, it is used to access additional services such as account recharge and balance inquiry. Other use is in financial system to provide telephone banking services by financial institutions. The issue of medical non adherence is a multifaceted problem which cuts across different nations. This paper presents a system that can be adopted in addressing the issue of medical adherence by providing realtime feedback to the care providers at the actual time when patients are supposed to take their medical regimes. As a result the systems functions as a reminder.
