  • Abstract
It is often said that taking care of our planet is everyone´s responsibility. We can each do something small, like turning off unnecessary lights or shortening showers, and the impact will be large. One woman who is calling on us all to do our part is Francoise Pearlman. Pearlman, now retired from a long career working with software, system of systems, and integration in the aerospace industry, is a volunteer with the IEEE Committee on Earth Observation (ICEO). She is also the primary point person for the group´s outreach initiatives supporting the creation of a Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS) for Earth observation data.
