Abstract :
Second-order statistics are presented from a body-area measurement campaign using 40 simultaneous links over a few hours of everyday activity. Following from the fit of a Lognormal distribution to the channel gain, the level crossing rates and fade distributions are compared to derived theoretical second-order Lognormal statistics. Of the two adult-one male, one female-test subjects, the results for the smaller female subject showed a better fit to the Lognormal distribution and the resulting second-order statistics. Fading for indoor on-body-area communications is confirmed to be well modeled by Lognormal distributions.
