Abstract :
This paper reports the progress of development for coated conductors on metal tapes by the liquid phase epitaxy (LPE) process. It was found that the reaction between the liquid and metal tape can be prevented by the combination of MgO buffer layer and MgO-saturated liquid. Through the solubility measurements and the growth experiments, the suitable construction for coated conductor by LPE process was developed
