Abstract :
Fabrication of superconducting joints has been attempted for reacted Bi-2223/Ag multi-filamentary tapes changing the scheme of joint shape. Bi-2223 filaments were directly overlapped and pressed onto each other by uni-axial pressing. Degradation of critical current occurred for the jointed sample and that tendency depended on the joint schemes and applied pressure. Critical current retention of 57% could be obtained by an optimized jointed sample after heat-treatment
