A study of wave shapes for radio-nose-meter calibrations

THIS PAPER presents the results of a theoretical and experimental study directed toward obtaining better agreement between measurements made with different radio-noise meters and proposes a modification of the present method of calibration. The need for work on this subject was pointed out in a paper¹ of which the writer was coauthor, presented before the Institute in 1943. Earlier papers^2–4 have described the develop ment of the radio-noise meter and methods of calibration.
