  • Abstract
    SYMFONET is a synchronised, star connected, high density wavelength division multiplexed, optical network, which provides each node with a low latency full broadcast capability. The application of this technology, to meet the global time ordering and sequential access characteristics required for shared memory multi-processors, is described.
