Abstract :
There are many types of plasma, which is used in the Magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) generator, and the most common type is the inertial confinement fusion (ICF) plasma. In this plasma, the energy deposited by laser or charged particle beams is used to implode the fuel in tiny pellets to the high density conditions necessary for ignition and efficient thermonuclear burn. This paper has considered the various mechanisms by which energy is transported from the driver energy deposition region into the ablation surface of the target. This energy transport mechanism is called the electron thermal conduction and this thermal conductivity is examined in both linear and nonlinear heat conduction case. The results obtained from this paper will be much useful for determination of the conditions to optimize the plasma used in MHD generator to achieve the high electrical efficiency.
