  • Abstract
    A technique for computer-controlled measurement of the gain and noise figure spectra of erbium doped fibre amplifiers (EDFA) is reported. The technique has been used to confirm homogeneous gain saturation in a broadband EDFA for output powers up to +10 dBm.
