Abstract :
The problem of matching a short monopole antenna by incorporating an ideal amplifier in the monopole structure is analysed. It is shown that this leads to a simple method of predicting which types of transistor amplifier configuration are likely to lead to a height reduction factor over the ¿/4 passive case.
