  • Abstract
    The author proposes a modified maximal ratio combining (MRC) scheme that is more suitable for RAKE receivers in wideband code division multiple access (WCDMA) mobile terminals than the conventional MRC scheme. This modified MRC scheme is derived analytically assuming unequal noise powers and imperfect channel estimates in different RAKE fingers
