Abstract :
The author comments on the paper by A.A. El-Emary (see ibid., vol.143, no.6, p.582-6, 1996). The author comments on the correct interpretation of the concept of synchronising torque as raised in a case study of a 9-machine power system discussed in the El-Emary´s paper.
