  • Abstract
    A fast method for finding a pair of multiple load flow solutions is presented. This method is based on observation of convergent characteristics using the Newton-Raphson method in rectangular coordinates. The observed loci converge straight to each of a pair of solutions. The optimal multiplier theory is extended to estimate multiple solutions by using three optimal multipliers. Test results show the ability and the reliability of the method. The method can solve a pair of near solutions by two load flow calculations at most
