Abstract
This paper briefly gives the reasons for the choice of vapour-phase cooling for television amplifier klystrons and describes some of the cooling systems that have been employed. It discusses in detail some of the problems, such as collector corrosion and the foaming of cooling water, which have arisen in the use of these systems. Practical solutions to the problems are then described.
