Abstract :
With increases in media coercivity and file data rates, higher performance write heads and write head pole materials are needed. In this paper we report on the development of the electrodeposited alloy high moment NiFe (45/55) for use as an advanced write head pole material. Magnetic properties of the material are compared to Permalloy as well as recording performance as a function of media Hc and head data rate
