Abstract :
The recurrent-continuant procedure as previously described1 conforms to a transfer function polynomial that leads to an LCR ladder structure. In this contribution a modification to the procedure is proposed that extends its application to the realization of pure LC structures and thence, by the use of simple frequency transformation, to the realization of pure RC structures, as well. In the proposed scheme, an appropriate function is added to the prescribed LC transfer function to transform the latter into a strictly Hurwitz class of polynomial which is now used to synthesize the desired network. The method is capable of yielding multiple sets of element values.
