Abstract :
This month marks the end of a transition period for IEEE Communications Magazine. Outgoing Editor-in-Chief Nim Cheung graciously continued to take the lead role for the January¿May 2010 issues, since he had worked closely with the guest editors in arranging the content for these months. Beginning with the June issue, the baton has been fully passed. I want to take this opportunity to thank Nim for his excellent work over the past two years, taking on and improving many aspects of the magazine. Through Nim¿s efforts, the content of the magazine has become increasingly relevant, especially to those working in industry. I also want to thank Nim for his support and mentorship during the time I served as his Associate Editor-in-Chief.
