Abstract
A systematic approach to design observers for discrete-time systems with multiple delays, under general conditions, is presented. The main feature of the proposed technique is that necessary and sufficient conditions for asymptotic stability are derived while the observer´s order is independent from the number of delays and is equal to the state dimension. To illustrate the efficiency of the proposed technique, two numerical examples are provided
