One fundamental piece of advice often given to students considering a career decision is to pursue what they enjoy and what interests them the most. The logic here is that money and prestige might one day fade, but joy and fulfillment in a career will last a lifetime. This can also have profound ramifications in other aspects of our lives, since for most, work or thinking about work will consume the vast majority of one´s waking hours.
