Abstract :
Irregular peak signals were observed during the glide height avalanche testing of a laser textured disk. Those peak signals were analyzed and found to be consistent with the first ringing frequency of the slider vibration. The frequencies were also found to be mathematically related to the bump spacing and some specific slider speed where the irregular peaks located, and subsequently the frequencies can be calculated
