Abstract :
The effect of group delay variations over the operation bandwidth of CW-LFM radars is investigated. Although present systems have no special problems with phase distortion, it is shown that for the next generation of low probability of interception radars this is a very important handicap. Main parameters relevant for the performance of the system are identified and some design techniques are proposed
