Abstract :
Variations of transition widths in thin-film media with record head field (and hence record current) are predicted by the use of minor loop equations and consideration of fields at a point away from the centers of the transitions. A single equation is obtained covering both the write and demagnetization limit, with results for half pulse widths and peak heights in agreement with experimental data
