Abstract :
Tools and techniques for integrated design are discussed. These range from those obvious benefits such as drafting packages, sizing software, and computer-aided-analysis packages to less obvious examples such as artificial-intelligence/knowledge-based systems, symbolic algebra, databases, and user interface management systems. The integration of all these to form a designers workbench is considered
