Abstract
The design of an RF antenna for magnetic resonance imaging is reported. The point-matching formulation of the moment method was used to compute the electromagnetic field of the antenna and the current distribution on the antenna. To verify the computation accuracy of the moment method, computed and experimental results are compared. The effect of loading the RF antenna with capacitors to improve the uniformity of the current distribution has also been studied
