Abstract :
This survey which appeared in the Allen Clark Research Centre Annual Review earlier this year, is designed to illustrate the range of applications of computing in an industrial research laboratory and is concerned primarily with integrated circuits and SAW devices. It is written for engineers and scientists without specific expertise in computing, though it can also be read by computer specialists interested in a range of applications.
