Abstract :
In this work, Ag2CrO4 and Ag2Cr2O7 micro/nanostructures have been successfully produced via a simple precipitation route using silver salicylate, [Ag(HSal)], as a new synthesis technique. Besides, the effect of silver precursor and surfactant concentration on the morphology of products was studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images. SEM images showed that particle-like powders with particle size of 500-700-nm and capsule-like nanostructures of Ag2CrO4 have been produced using AgNO3 and [Ag(HSal)], respectively. In several experiments to decrease the particle size of products, sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) was applied as a surfactant. The products were characterised using various methods. The presented method is a simple and facile route to fabricate Ag2CrO4 and Ag2Cr2O7 micro/nanostructures because there are many advantages, such as saving time and energy, free organic solvent, using cheap available chemicals and high yield.
