Abstract :
The planar filament current loop stack model has been widely used for modeling large air-core reactor coils. In this study, the calculation accuracy of the model is analyzed. In the planar filament current loop stack model, the conductor cross section and the coil pitch angle are ignored. The appropriate application range of the model for an acceptable error is determined and illustrated. The results obtained are important and useful for the evaluation of the model and its areas of application
