The author discusses her experiences as the student project leader in a manuals class charged with researching, writing, and producing a handbook for the New Mexico Tech technical communication program. She describes the management process of organizing the class into groups of writers, outlining the document into sections, assigning research and writing topics to the groups, and setting deadlines for the project calendar
