Abstract
The problem of a charged particle traveling off-axis along a semi-infinite pipe within an infinite pipe is analyzed in the frequency domain and explicitly solved by means of Wiener-Hopf techniques for the dipole term. The method can be used to compute any m-pole component of the EM field. The formulas given for impedances (longitudinal and transverse) are valuable for a wide range of frequencies.
