Abstract
Mixed-μ magnetic levitation system using superconductors enables stability in both levitation and lateral directions without control. The authors try to obtain the optimal configuration and sizes using the two-dimensional finite element method. In this paper, the characteristics to the specific permeability μs of the superconductor and the method of optimum design are discussed
