Abstract :
The perfectly matched layer (PML) has proven to be an effective means of absorbing outgoing waves for finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) simulations. This letter describes the development of a PML specifically for underwater simulations at low frequencies. This is a significant development for this project that involves simulations of electromagnetic signals for long distances under water.
