Abstract :
The dynamics of vertical Bloch lines (VBL) in the Bloch walls of bubble garnet films are studied experimentally. A direct optical observation technique reveals VBL position. Static and pulsed in-plane as well as bias fields are used. The coercive properties of the sample give rise to complicated experimental behaviour in which zero VBL displacement coexists with erratic and `regular´ VBL displacement. The results are discussed qualitatively
