  • Abstract
    A simple model of the digital recording of magnetization transitions in thin-films recording media is described. The fine structure within the transitions, in the form of sawtooths, is included in the model by combining previously published information on these transitions with an approach developed originally for the recording of arc-tangent-shaped transitions. The effects on the fine structure of an applied head field distribution and the hysteresis properties of the recording medium are classified
