Abstract :
A method of modelling corona discharge around a thinwire is demonstrated using the Transmission-Line Modelling (TLM) approach. In particular, the embedded 3-D node is utilised; a node that allows for field-wire and wire-field coupling. A demonstration of the typical effects experienced by a surge waveform travelling on a transmission line is used to validate the method.
