Abstract :
Two novel algorithms using a slack term are proposed to enhance the probability of successful reservations in guaranteed services. A more correct reserved bandwidth and the corresponding slack term are calculated and used. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed methods achieve a higher successful reservation probability than the original reservation algorithm while maintaining a low overhead
