Abstract :
The stabilisation problem for a class of networked control systems (NCSs) via controller and scheduling protocol co-design scheme is studied. A new discrete-time switched system model is presented to capture the communication constraints and multiple distributed transmission delays effects on the closed-loop NCS. Based on the new model, sufficient conditions for the exponential stability of the closed-loop NCS are derived, and a co-design procedure for both the stabilising controller and the scheduling protocol is presented. Moreover, a new transmission mechanism and a novel compensation scheme are presented to increase the flexibility of the NCS design. The effectiveness of the proposed results is finally demonstrated by an illustrative example.
