Abstract :
This paper deals with the robust control of variable speed, pitch regulated for a modeling two-mass gear train wind turbine. It is well know that the mechanisms are investigated in term of the most proposed assumptions to deal with the damping, shaft stiffness and inertia effect of the gear. The existing control techniques do not take into account the dynamical aspect of the wind and the turbine, which leads to significant power losses, besides, they are not robust. A control structure based on a nonlinear sliding mode control approach is presented, where we show the design methodology for a class of linear saturated systems. The effectiveness and the merit of the proposed approach are shown by simulation results.
