  • Abstract
    The first CW measurements are reported of single-pass signal phase shifts at 1.55 μm using a cascaded parametric interaction with a few tens of milliwatts of injected pump power around 0.85 μm. The interaction occurs in a periodically poled lithium niobate channel waveguide. The corresponding nonlinear coefficient is one of the largest reported to date: n2eff=±7×10 13 cm2/W
