Abstract :
The retrieval of the impulse response of a microwave device from data obtained by an finite-difference time-domain algorithm is a difficult problem to solve with sufficient accuracy. The authors propose a method based on a fourth-order moment-expansion to solve this problem. The algorithm has been successfully tested on a microwave planar device and showed a high degree of accuracy
