Abstract
The tuning of an asymmetric Mach-Zehnder interferometer is demonstrated using UV-induced negative index changes. A substantial difference is seen between positive index growth and negative index growth, particularly in the magnitude of UV-induced birefringence splitting which can be several orders of magnitude larger for the latter
