Abstract
A class of chirp modulation called partial response continuous phase chirp modulation is introduced by extending the length of the baseband pulse for more than one interval. Partial response chirp signals are constructed at finite numbers of states. Numerical results show that partial response chirp signals perform significantly better and they also have better spectral variations than the known chirp signals
