Abstract :
The measured equation of invariance (MEI) method is used in the time domain to numerically generate the absorbing boundary condition (ABC) for a line source radiating in two-dimensional free space. Compared with the real solution and other ABCs, accurate results are obtained when only two space steps are employed. Further research will extend this method to the scattering problems of arbitrarily shaped conducting objects
