  • Abstract
    A new method for measuring low birefringence in optical fibres is described. It is based on a fibre twist in a fibre optical loop mirror. It allows birefringence measurement within the range 10-6-0.5×10-8. Neither specific input polarisation nor previous principal fibre axes orientation adjustment are required
